Tony Schmand dedicated his life to improve the lives of people who had a
physical and/or intellectual disability. He was a community minded person
who had a vision to create a site which was a happy place to live, work and
be productive. Out of his vision, combined with an enormous amount of determination
grew the original Variety Farm, known today as Delta Community Living Society.
Tony Schmand was well known in the Lower Mainland for his many activities
in the community, but he will be most remembered for his never tiring role
of advocate for people with intellectual disabilities. |
