Who We Are

Based in Delta, British Columbia, the Delta Community Living Society (DCLS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for adults with developmental disabilities and providing ongoing support to their families and friends. This past year DCLS provided service to more than 170 people between the ages of 19 and 90.

In addition to its core services, DCLS provides active leadership and advocacy for the Community Living movement throughout the Province, shares best practices with other service providers, participates in policy dialogue with government and educates the public about the vital needs of the people we support. We also provide ongoing support and training to families seeking support for a loved-one with a developmental disability.

DCLS is a member of the British Columbia Association for Community Living (BCACL), a federation working with community living partners throughout the Province to enhance the lives of children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities and their families.

DCLS has been accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) since 2002. CARF accreditation demonstrates that an organization has met all standards related to the quality of its service.

The Delta Community Living Society is a registered non-profit organization (Registration Number: 10701 1967 RR001).
