Employment Services

DCLS seeks to create more inclusive workplaces and communities by offering a range of employment opportunities from its community-based locations. We work with job seekers to identify their skills, preferences and abilities and partner with local businesses to determine how to best meet their staffing and business needs. DCLS employment services include:

Solutions Employment: Supports job seekers on a person-by-person basis and assists them in obtaining sustainable, customized employment through a discovery process that identifies and highlights the job seeker’s skills and abilities and matches those with the needs of local employers.

Connections and ‘Day Service’ locations: Supports service recipients in their efforts to access and explore a wide variety of employment opportunities throughout the Lower Mainland. Options include paid employment in local businesses, entrepreneurial ventures, volunteerism and skill development opportunities that are meaning ful to the service recipient. These initiatives provide services of varying scope to businesses and organizations throughout the DCLS service community.
