Transitions from School to Adulthood: Family Information Meeting This meeting will an introduction to the things families need to be aware of if they have a teenager with a developmental disability transitioning out of high school. It will include reviewing the processes and paperwork you will need to consider e.g.: CLBC, STADD Navigators, Applying for PWD) and identifying where to access support online and in your community. 


There will be plenty of opportunity for questions. This meeting is a must for families who have a youth with autism or a developmental disability aged 15 plus. During presentation there will be light refreshments so families can network and discuss issues about transitioning to adulthood. 

 

COVID 19:  DCLS has implemented health and safety protocols based on guidelines from the Office of the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) and WorkSafeBC. Workshop participants will be physically distanced, workshop room will be sanitized, and participants are encouraged to practice good hygiene and to stay home if they are not well on the day of the workshop.
